The key is to have the wittier remark ready at hand to throw back on the fly. Alternatively, you can run an ad in the local newspaper personals section with that persons details in it, looking for a completely unsuitable partner for casual fun times in shopping centre car parks.
Or you can order two trucks of cement, twenty large pizzas and four leggy blondes from an escort agency all to arrive at their front door at the same time.

⥠well on the first time forgive them, be mature and ignore it.
⥠then when they do it again, try to ignore it.
⥠then when they do it a third time, say something to them about it in a nice way, to let them know it isn't appropriate.
⥠then when they do it a fourth time, to prove that they can, and just to be mean & get on your nerves, try to do the same as you did the first time.
⥠then when they do it a fifth time, do what you did the second time.
⥠then when they do it a sixth time, do what you did on the third time.
⥠then when they do it a seventh time, for the same reasons as the fourth time....... do this:

That depends on the insult.
If it's something that I know applies to me, then I may think it over, then eventually shrug it off.
If it's just an immature insult, I find it best to bite back.

It depends on who insulted me. Sometimes I just shrug it off, and sometimes, I insult them right back.
