If you mean your web ip then go on a site such as www.whatismyip.com. If you are after your network ip then go Start, run then type command or cmd and click ok. Next type "ipconfig" into command prompt, that should tell you all you need to know. I have never used remote desktop connection before but I know people who have and they said it was rubbish. Your better off using "LogMeIn" (www.logmein.com) which is really good. Hope this helped.

http://www.logmein.com (Use if the PC is unattended.)
http://www.crossloop.com (Use if someone is on the other PC.)
