On arrival of monsoon,the atmosphere changes from a state of extreme dryness to high humidity and rainfall almost all over India except Tamil nadu.Thunderstorm is a feature of pre-monsoon months of April and May over India particularly over North-east India.Hyderabad and Nagpur may also sometimes experience this.
The axis of monsoon trough(a trough which usually exists in the monsoon season from Rajasthan to Bay of Bengal) which oscillates from north to south frequently in this season,somtimes comes to the southern side(upto 18 degree latitude ,i.e.,over hyderabad) and remains for some days.At that time any depression or low pressure areas which form over Bay of Bengal move along this axis towards north-west direction upto Gujarat and gives plenty of rain on its path covering Hyderabad and Nagpur.

Very high monsoon in hyderbad in july and august.
