I'm just curious to see if anyone else feels like their life is separate from their spouse. Do you two have different hobbies that keep you apart on your days off? Do you work opposite shifts so you rarely see each other? Is one person gone more than the other for work related trips?

If so, how do you connect? How do you tell the other person you want to see them more without appearing to be needy?

It is very normal for two people who are married to have their own separate things to do. The most important thing is that they have their together time too!!! You need to speak to your spouse, and arrange for the two of you to spend some together time a few times a week at least!! No marriage can survive, much less grow, if there is no time spent together.

Just tell your spouse that you love them, and that you are making sure that your marriage works and last forever, as it should. If your spouse loves you, they will understand, and be grateful that you are so concerned.

OH I CAN SO RELATE TO YOU HERE!!!

both me and my partner are home alot together but still seem to lead seperate lives. Seems opposites really do attract we have nothing in common at all.

at the moment he is playing his xbox and i am browsing the net. this is a typical day for us.

you need to try and find something that your partner does that you could possibly find fun. Sometimes I will go and beat up my partner (in an xbox boxing game not acctually for real) thats sometimes fun.

Good Luck

No us. We had a long list of common interests when we got married. That was 37 yrs. ago, and to this day we usually participate together in the majority of our activities/interests.

Not at all. We are totally entwined! It's what we choose, and put in the effort to make it happen.
