We all know Pakistan had the upper hand before the match because India was without any practice for '20-20 circus'. We didn't play any warm up match. We missed our match against Scotland which was a preparation for the big match against Pakistan. Even though we played 3 months of good cricket in England but 'twenty-20' is a different thing & you always need a few matches to get use to it.

For India the first part of the match wasn't good my any means. We ended at a low score of 141. In a Twenty-20 match even a team as good as Australia will find it difficult to defend a totalt of 141.

Pakistan i believe could have easily won the match in 16-17 overs if their approach was not that over-confident. They just messed everything. I don't know why they saved Afridi for the end. Afridi has never been a good finisher. All his top innings have come as an opener or while batting in the top order.

They played to slowly in the beggining. They never tried to take any risk in the first 15 overs.

Kamran Akamal was the only guy who tried to take some risks. I think a few other players in their top order should have played like him if not all.

Another thing, it was very strange to see Pakistan chocking under pressure. Their top bowlers couldn't hit the ctumps while India's part timers did it. Is it a joke?
For most people in India it was nothing less than a joke. So Malik needs to improve his captaincy skills

It has to be said that this match will go down the memory lane as one of the most exciting matches ever.
A TIE COULD HAVE BEEN VERY ROMANTIC

I fully agree with your views. In fact Pakistan was carried away with their bowling performance in restricting India to 141 and under estimated India's bowling and thought that they can easily achieve that.

I DON"T THINK IT WAS A JOKE
Its sport if this that is all crap my friend, they never ever looked winning in 16-17 overs EVER when they batted
All credit to Pak they bowled well but hey SO did India, why say why weren't pakistan hitting? The condition were such OBVIOUSLY DUDE (and in my opinion ideal for 2020, 150-170 is ideal as an even contest in bat ball is wat cricket is all about) Except Mr. Agarkar (as usual) everyone did their part in the indian bowling dept. too
So after all the "bang-bang" of bowlers 7-10runs per over, if they can't ensure it, i find it only fair that bowlers come to... ACTUALLY (i ve answered same in some other Q on yahoo)
Its now a NEW DIMENSION OF CRICKET
The Bowl out specialist:)
I don't think they were over-confident, i just think they gave ALL credit to their bowlers and didn't think or plan that the conditions are such even they can have a camel start.

sorry to say, but i think India was bowling wrong infact stupidly on pourpose [ wide ball] all the time through out the whole game when pakistan was batting. and india was making them waste their balls beacuse of all those wide balls.
pakistan was also too over confident and it just seemed like that they dont care about the match and that was clear at the end of the match when they had to do the shoot outs, which were like half meters away from the cricket. it looked like a match fixing.

Pakistani players over confident of indian score just 141,
and in return they deserve the GOOD RESULT.
In cricket anything can happen any time, never ever under estimate indian team they can play from minnows to champions

No.It is not so.
The conditions were not really good for batting,in a way helpful to the bowlers. So the batsmen could not take liberties. The fielding too was better than what Indians were doing in ODIs.Pathan was effective in getting wickets and also in containing the batsmen.
Harbahajan really bowled well to Afridi not allowing room to hit through or across.
Yet I feel they should have won the game.Perhaps inexperience and a run out at the top.

i don,t think pakistan were confident,it was just bad judgement of strokes by imran nazir and younis khan and the batting order.
shahid afridi should bat at 1,2,3 or 4. and irfan pathan and harbajhan singh bowled verywell

The match was good but the decision wasnt so good by the T20 administrators, they should have given equal points for both the teams, & then send em to the super 8's.
