so my comps pretty new like probably a year and 3 months old i wanna say its an hp media center thingy but whatever. So do i have to actually like open my computer up or is their a diff way i can check what kind of video card it takes>>?

there are two ways to know what your system is

1. use the dxdiag
- Press Windows + R
- type in dxdiag...it is also a diagnostic program for your multimedia.

2. go to your system information
- START
- PROGRAMS
- ACCESSORIES
- SYSTEM TOOLS
- SYSTEM INFORMATION

Can you tell us what you computer you have... manufacturer and model type. For example Dell Dimension 8000.

you can take the casing off...
OR go onto systems options, that'll have a list of everything on your comp.

Get the Everest software. It will answer all your hardware qoestions about your computer once you run it.

go to crucial.com they scan ur system and it should tell u w/e u have in ur comp.. its actually a memory company, but it scan ur system for u so hey.. why not use it
