I Have a Berber Skink lizard, can anyone tell me their favourite foods ... he's fed up of crickets and premium cat food, is there anything else I could feed him?
Also does anyone know of any good forums where I can learn more about this species?
Thanks in advance!

I must also stress that I have just recently rescued this lizard from a bad home (a teenager bought it and hid it in a plastic tub in his bedroom for months til he got caugth with it). I have lots of pets and treat them all very well I am just having trouble finding a good forum for lizards!

TO REDLADY :
Please don't assume everyone who is asking for help with the care of an animal is neglectful and ingnorant.
I am neither, I am an active member of PETA and care a great deal for all animals and if I see one suffering and i can offer a good, safe home for it - I will do.
The fact that I am asking for help shows that I care. Please be more constructive with your replies in future.
Thank you.

Berber Skinks (Eumeces Schneideri) will eat pretty much all insects (but not hairy ones or ones that can sting).
They are able to eat mealworms, superworms, earthworms, waxworms/silkworms, butterworms, locusts, grasshoppers, flies, spiders, daddy long legs, butterflies, moths, and some may also take a snail or two.
They are able to eat some meats, such as, minced turkey, lean meats, dog food, and pinkie mice.
They may also take some fruit and vegetables, you could try him on banana, strawberries, kiwi, melon, grapes, pineapple, apricot, apple, mango, summer squash/squash, carrot, fresh mushrooms (not from a tin/can), sweet potato, beans, collard greens, kale, and legumes.
Other alternatives are, fish, tofu, boiled eggs, and tinned/canned monitor/tegu food.
Remember to vary his diet to be sure he gets all the nutrients he needs, and don't give him too many mealworms or waxworms as they are very high in fat.
I hope this helps.
