Way to copy and paste "soul", but you are way WRONG with all of that. Dont give bs advice especially when it comes to someone else's health. My professional suggestion is to talk to your family doctor as there are several issues that need to be addressed here. This noise that you describe coming from your son can cause damage to his lungs over time. As for now it will be a trial and error with what works and what doesnt. Different positions, cool air, warm air, and the honey/tea that others have mentioned. It all depends on the person, what helps one might not help another, Good luck

Sounds like a Croup. Make a concoction of Honey and Lemon, mix it up and have him drink some. keep a humidifier going at night to help him breathe. That's awful. I had it when I was young, too. Must have been about his age. Put some Vicks Vapor Rub on his chest. I live on that stuff. Helps me sleep at night. Thank God you're going to the doctors on Monday.

Croupe! Croupe is going around right now. My doctor said to either crack open u'r window a little or actually, dress them up in their winter coats and take him outside for a walk. The cold weather helps. If u have a newer crib (mine has a flat board instead of the string) move it up at one end or use a blanket or pillow under the mattress evenly...it too will help. One twin has croupe right now.

sounds like allergies or whooping cough or maybe even slight asthma episodes. outside of breathing treatments/inhalers or antibiotics for bronchitis/whooping coughs, there's not much you can do. the cold exacerbates it (bronchitis) and steamy baths should help. cool air helps asthma and allergies along with inhalers or cough medicines. best to wait until you see a doctor to do anything.
