Who gave THAT a thumbs up???? It is a Pentium D, the D meaning dual core. It is supposed to show up as two processors, it has two cores. You could possible disable one of the cores in the BIOS, but there would be no reason at all to do that, having the two cores is a GOOD thing.

If it's a Hyperthreading processor (most likely from what you're saying), then it's supposed to show up as two processors. It makes most tasks faster, since it lets the processor do two things at once.

Making it 'run as one' will involve disabling half of your processor. Why would you want to do this?
