How long would you stand being tortured till you gave in?

I think I'd rather die than let someone like rape me or get to my family so no I wouldn't but who knows NOT when but IF (hope not) I ever get into that kind of situation what I'll do! Great Q. =] Have you missed me ?? I've missed you =P

if it was just your basic hand lighter burning I might hold out for a bit, I think it would get to the point where you nerve endings are burnt and it would start to not hurt so much.
but if it was something really bad, like forcing me to listen to 'total eclipse of the heart' on constant repeat, or watch the spiritual network, then I'd have to submit straight away and just be glad of the sweet release of death.

I'm being honest, I would blab secrets of the universe to who ever asked the second I felt heat from that lighter near my skin. I don't like pain.

I would totally give in! There gonna get what they want in the end! But if all they have to offer is a Bic lighter, I could hold out for a while.

it depends on what im keeping secret from them.... i dont handle pain well so if its something trivial they prob wouldnt even have to put the lighter close to my hand for me to squeal. but if its something of high importance and value i could definately keep it a secret for a real long time. all id have to do was focus on something else, not the pain.

I've been tortured and after a while you don't feel it anymore... sometimes you black out if the pain is too much.
But yes, I would give in to what they were asking.

If it was like "where is the hidden bomb" so they can destroy the whole world then id rather just die with the secret.

hmmm. i wouldnt give in. see it would feel like i'm dying- when so close to death people seem to appreciate life, so being totured- feeling pain, means i am still alive.
