I saw a house spider with only 3 visible legs on each side. Is this common?

All spiders have 8 legs. Those with less than 8 could either be crippled or got congenital defects. There is also an insect that is quite similar to a spider thus having 6 legs. There are also spiders which 2 pairs of legs are infront looking like its antennae.

It could be a rare holofoil spider, or perhaps it is masquerading as a Roach or other fewer legged insect?
