I think you should go to stores such as Home Depot or OSH and compare prices. I think it will cost like 20 bucks a house so do the math. I hope your project is fun and helps everyone out. If all goes well celebrate by kicking it at Wendy's.

Certainly # 1 offers a valid suggestion. ANY BIG BOX, home improvement store, contractors help desk, will give you prices if you bring them a list of the materials you want.

More certain however is that we don't know details; such as sizes; and the actual materials you have in mind; plus we don't know your location or access to supplies.

Pricing often varies by location, and availability. Availability may vary by TYPE.

If for example this is a commercial venture for you; IE: fabricating and selling dog houses; and since we can't strictly equate "Several" to an actual figure; you might investigate lumber yards for any large quantities; perhaps set up an account; and possibly get quantity discounting?

If you raise or board dogs you might also go that same route.

Contrary to what other people say, stay away from the big box stores for lumber. The local lumber yard is typically cheaper, and have better service, faster service, free delivery. But without knowing what lumber you need, I couldn't guess a cost. Make a material list and get some prices. Some things the big box stores are good for, but unless I realize I need a 2x4 or something on a Sunday afternoon to finish a project, then I stick with the local lumber yard.

frequently human beings construct properties out of in spite of components are interior the section. interior the pacific northwest, the place i'm from, residences have been made out of wood and it would be uncommon to verify a brick domicile. i'm at the instant residing in TN and that's all I see brick, brick everywhere. As for plaster, no longer many properties use that anymore until eventually they're over seventy 5 years previous...or older. yet another subject you have are zoning and construction code rules, after which you have people who're in can charge of springing up useful those rules are being obeyed (wink, wink, nudge, nudge). i comprehend what you propose with reference to the hurricane harm because of the fact i'm sick of seeing properties on the coast being geared up to stand up to a breeze of roughly 10 mph. I could savor the couple that had their contractor construct their domicile to stand up to a CAT 5 hurricane, and guess what? It advance into the only domicile nonetheless thoroughly intact interior the section. If the federal government would mandate that states could have the residences rebuilt to the better standards, OR no FEMA, that is super because of the fact i'm sick of having construction components shoot sky extreme because you comprehend the cities would be flattened. Heck, you will think of that even coverage firms would foyer for larger construction standards.
