YES! AND YOU SHOULD BE CHANGING YOUR PADS AT LEAST EVERY 3-4 HOURS NO MATTER THE FLOW TO KEEP DOWN ANY KIND OF INFECTION OR FEMALE PROBLEMS NOW OR LATER ON. If you are only going through 3 or a few more pads per day then this is perfectly normal. When you should worry is "IF" you are/or start bleeding pretty constantly.
Yes, you are very normal.

Hi. I guess to me that is normal. But then I am 38 years old. I go through a pad in an hour or less. I wear a tampon and still have to change my pad and tampon. If I did not wear a tampon I would be changing my pad every half hour. At night time I wear four pads. Seriously.. I would be so happy to only change my pad three times a day. Plus my period last for 6 weeks at a time. Yes I have been to the Dr.

For some women, a normal menstrual cycle can consist of heavy blood flow. This can extend from your first 1-3 days or for the full duration of your period. So yes, it may be normal for some women to go through more than 3 pads a day.
To be sure, however, have yourself examined because a high volume of blood loss could lead to a lack of iron in your body. Make sure to ask your doctor about taking ferrous sulfate (iron) if that is the case.

It is normal in the way that some gals do have super heavy flow like you and the menses seem to flood the pads every 2-3 hours.
If you are really worried or you get bad headache /dizzy spells during the period, you should consult the doc for some medication.

If its a heavy day, yes perfectly normal.
Get a pad with higher absorbancy. Like the night time pads.
Also buy some iron tablets because you're going to feel out of it for a few days. They'll help your energy level.

yes it can be perfectly normal, but when you say "go through" I would hope your changing your pad that often daily if you go through it or not. It harbors bacteria.
