Heres a few fun ideas.

Hawaiian Luau Party: If you have a pool you could have a Luau with all her best girlfriends or invite guys too. You could play limbo and have hula dancing competitions. Greet everyone with a lei at the door. You could also serve fruit punch in plastic/real coconut cups with little umbrellas. Have chicken kebabs (Teriyaki is great!), a fruit platter/salad and some yummy munchies. For invites you could make flip flops out of coloured cardboard with a contrasting colour as the straps. You COULD play Hula music, but honestly, what fun is that? Make a mix CD of all her favourite songs to play.

Make-over Party: Take your daughter and all her besties to a day spa to get manicures and pedicures. If you really want to splurge on the party, let them get their hair and make-up done too and take them out to a fancy restaurant for dinner. Come back home and have a sleep-over, do facials, let them watch a few DVD's and stay up all night.

Survivor/Challenge Party: If your daughter's a tomboy or loves competition have a Survivor themed party. For more fun invite guys and girls and have a competition between the two genders. If she doesn't want guys at her party, they can just split up into two groups of girls. But make sure it doesn't cause any fights! They could do fun challenges and mini-games. It's up to you to decide on the challenges. If you have a pool I'm sure you'll come up with some crazy games, but you can still have fun without one. And don't forget a water bomb fight!

Costume Party: Get everyone to dress up in costume. You could have a topic, whether it be celebrities, funky 60's and 70's, absolutely hideous or opposite gender these parties are always great! In a separate room in your house set up a CD player (Make a mix CD of all her fave tracks!), a snack table, a couch/bean bags and some chairs, a Playstation/Xbox with fun group games like Kareoke, Dance Dance Revolution or Eyetoy and leave them in their for the night to do whatever they want. Your daughter will love not having to be supervised.

Horror/Mystery Murder Party: These are fun for everyone! You can get sets from your local party store and they are quite cheap. Get everyone to dress up as a character and they have to discover who murdered someone and why. For some fun after games you could play Horror Food: Set up a table with some disgusting feeling or tasting food. Everyone has to take a bite (With blind folds on) and guess what it is and everyone HAS to eat it. A few suggestions for food are anchovies, spaghetti, lumpy fruit yoghurt, meatballs and lettuce. You could also play Murder In The Dark and Truth or Dare.

Hotel Sleepover Party: Let your daughter bring 1 or 2 of her closest friends to sleepover at a hotel. They will have heaps of fun, especially if there is a pool. Buy them a breakfast/lunch/dinner buffet. Bring along hair straighteners, make-up or whatever they think will be fun!

Hope this was helpful and her party goes well!

25 people seems like an awful lot. How do you get rid of most of the people at the end of the party, so just a few can sleep over, without hurting anyone's feelings? A BBQ is a good way to inexpensively feed that many people (assuming the weather is nice enough) - if you fill them up on chips and salsa, they won't eat as much of the relatively more expensive meat you're serving. What about some sort of treasure hunt in the back yard, or a scavenger hunt around the neighborhood? (During daylight hours so your neighbors don't freak out)? Inexpensive prizes but something kids would enjoy - a $5 bill hidden here, a $10 Itunes gift cert hidden there, a couple little boxes of chocolates, a funny book. You could make it Indiana Jones or The Mummy 3 themed. If you have piles of leaves around, it's easy to hide treasures under the leaves (in a Ziplock if necessary). Some sort of group cooking activity - a sushi rolling contest, or cupcake decorating contest (the boys might not think that's cool though), or karaoke indoors once the BBQ is over and it's too cold to be outside? (Depending on your particular kids/friends they might think karaoke is very cool or very lame, though!) A group Wii game?

Well is she into the High School Musical/Hannah Montana Craze? Maybe find something like that. Shes at a tough age...Not wanting to be a little kid with cartoons and not wanting to be a really old person. As for games there are many!! A pinata is ALWAYS fun no matter what age. Go to a nearby party store for more ideas. Sorry I couldn't help more! Google "Pre-teen party ideas" good luck! =D

12 is pretty mature these days.

Theme park like Six Flags for the day, a skating rink, ice rink , the ocean peer with rides and arcade or a movie and sleepover with hip music.

My kids (both my daughters) favorite part was helping me decorate the house with helium balloons and decorations etc and then I laid out beauty stuff like fake nails and makeup on a table and crafts to make their own purses or bags after they went out or before they went out.

I had a grab bags of treats and little trinkets that each girl took home when the party was over.

not a theme but some things that i did that worked

at my daughter's we did Tye dye- they had a blast
at my sons, my daughter stayed, i put 1/2 cup flour in knee highs and let the kids throw them at each other
outside
they all had fun with that too, better than water balloons, it was cold that day and didn't hurt the environment

High School Musical. Hire an aeorbics trainer to come and teach the girls the dance moves to one or more of the songs. Fun and healthy!

DONT do high school musical/hannah montana theme, that will haunt your daughter for years i'm serious, she'll look back at it when she's 16 and go "how shameful" i warn against it
why don't you have a bonfire and have a waterbomb fight or something???
