Is it ambition, peer-pressure, or sheer fear of survival, or just what?

No way, just because they don't fit in with the backward ideas of a Hindu party (former British spies -today nationalists!!! ha)

What about the non-Brahmin's in corrupt Modi's party, I've brahmin friends who have been invited to join the RSS who speak cheaply of their own non-brahmin colleagues.

If your not a brahmin - good luck to being a second class citizen. Stop cleaning your house and throwing the waste on your neighbour's door. Stop spitting around you and your neighbours. Stop Sati, dowry, killing female babies, denigrating widows - then talk. ...If you think this is Hinduism - good luck - no way people will return.

Yes, very much true. As regards communists, their loyalty is to some foreign leaders. They donot have that much faith even in our own leaders. As regards religion, they know that they cant do anything with Islam or Christianity. Are there not labourers in UK or Dubai?

As regards congress, it is sadly true that they want the whole nation as pension and royalty against a small group of freedom fighters. Had only they continued a pure social life, we could have overtaken all the countries in the world. Coming to the religion, they are becoming minority day by day and hence has to keep alliance with any fundamentalist group. They have almost gone to the extent of allying with extreme fundamentalists. The reasons can be summarised as ambition, survival, money making and so on.
The remedy ? religion can be had as one's personal agenda and they religious blasphemy by the polictical parties should be ignored as tamasha

All parties agree for democracy, socialism and all that good words. But at the same time it is seen that if a Hindu by origin in any of the parties is more linient to his religion and religious customs , he is viewed with a special eye. Hence there is a tendency to accept a nutral posture or more soft towards other religions among the followers. But this is not the same with a follower from a minority religion. Especially this is true with communist parties. People may or may not agree with me, but I observe this.

Ill agree with an earlier comment, when we divided ourselves - the RSS would like to say the British did it. It;along with other lies.

The BJP's Kargil war a victory? How many terrorists did we let thru Indian territory for this great peace - 200 to 300 (The big talk BJP party's government actually provided protection, food andshelter to those who murdered our soldiers and buried the story. Check this with the RSS which is ashamed of the incident, and the useless Congress agreed to keep quiet so people would not feel let down.

This line of thought pardon me is of the RSS and those narrow minded people. RSS cadres were spies for the British and today have built fake stories because Indians cannot face the truth (this answer will be deleted if you cant too).

Vision and broad thinking takes you & the human race forward, else backward.

Fake story: The British divided and ruled us- Why.
*Before the British came we were a 1000+ states or whatever
*When the British left India we were about 18 states - Surprised?
*Today we are about 24 states
AND WE HAVE THE GUTS AND SHAMELESSNESS TO LISTEN TO THE NARROW MINDED TALK of the BJP.

Go on and think for yourselves, don't believe everything people say. It is the politicians who divide and rule us (RSS is not a social party, it is destructive only becuase it relies on lies, twisting facts and making up mountains of molehills - rather than have a vision for the country, their vision is only for the Brahmins. I know I am a Brahmin, how they deride the others in their org - I've been told myself, I've heard with my own ears).

Secularism , If for religious tolerance, It is very good and needed. But if it is for political opportunism and for vote bank politics, the same is very harmful and detrimental. In the longer run it does not pay as it is happening for the Congress in the cow belt states.

religion is purely personal matters
some people and party unnecessarily bring the religion in to the
country development matters.

to do anything to improve the country
congress is not a religious party, it treat all religions are equal.
