To suggest some books as per the BSc syllabus one must know which university you are from. By name , I feel you are from Karnataka. For mechanics and properties of matter the books by Khurmi and for electromagnetism and optics, by DN Vasudeva are quite useful. your local libraries will be able to help you more.

If Freshman Physics books are too elementary -

Kleppner, Kolenkov is good intermediate mechanics book
Purcell is good electromagnetism book

For Freshman physics I like Giancoli (there are 2 kinds - one kind is calculus based for science majors, and the other kind is for non-science majors which doesn use calculus)

I think you should now go for MSc in Physics. Thereafter you can choose a career in teaching in any coaching institutes and will get good salary. Or if you're interested in research field, then there are unlimited options.

Would you like Calculus based physics or Algebra based physics?

For calc based physics, I'd have to say "Physics for Scientists and Engineers". Here's teh ISBN for this book: 0534408427.

For alg. based physics, I'd recommend "College Physics" by Serway. Here's an ISBN for the book: 0495113697.

I really hope this works, I used the physics based book A LOT! ...I love it!

Good luck!

Love,
Mary
