You're commiting a sin until after the marriage. Sorry,that's the best interpetation of christian belief that I can give.
This is strange as the Bible not only records sex out of marriage but it seems to condone it in certain situations i.e. Sarah gives her handmaid (slave) to Abraham. David and Solomon both had cocubines, etc; then there is the inces but that is a different topic.

Technically, it it a sin, as sex should be saved for marriage, but I am wondering, as the question is posted in this forum if you are refering to a homosexual relationship? Sorry if I have it wrong.

Nope. It's inappropriate to have sex outside of marriage, even if you intend to marry that person. Wait until after you are married.
