There are two doors, A and B. Behind one, there is an electric chair, and behind the other, is freedom. There is an executioner in front of the two doors. He is either a knight ( knight = always tells the truth ) or a knave ( knave = a liar ), but you don't know what he is. You can only ask him one question, and he must answer with either Yes or No.

You want to know what door is freedom. What question do you ask the executioner?

I love the answers, if you could explain the reasoning of how you thought of the question, I am highly interested in that as well

Am I an adult male. Since I am an adult male if he says yes, then he is the Knight

Ask him to open the door to freedom. If he says yes and the electric chair is behind the door, then he was a knave, freedom - a knight (and you will know which door to take).

Ask: "If you were to give me the opposite of your answer answer to this question, then would you say that this door leads to the electric chair"?

If the knight says "yes" then that means that this door leads to freedom. If "no," then that means that the other door leads to freedom.

If the knave says "yes," then that means that he is lying that the opposite of his answer is actually "no," since his answer would be "yes." Since he always lies "Yes" implies "No." If the knave says "no," then the other door must lead to freedom.

So it doesn't matter whether he is knight or knave, "yes" means that this door leads to freedom and "no" means that this door leads to the electric chair.

this will take you by surprise.
the S&A oil report.
Put into search.
Door A. as in foreign oil imports. America has more oil than all the rest of the world combined. that's the door of freedom.

The King of a democracy had a joker. the King wanted to kill this joker. But he could not with out being seen as a fair king.
So he gathered all the people together and told the joker he must choose one of two pieces of paper from a hat. One piece said -you live -the other said you die. the joker knew the king had two pieces of paper that said you die. Yet he had to choose or be killed.
How did the joker live?
He grabed one piece of paper, swallowed it and stated I choose the one I just ate.
question is, what do you ask? You ask them, are you willing to trade places with me?

I'm going to go with...

Is your left foot closer to the door to freedom than your right?

Edit: It's a yes or no question only, remember?

2nd Edit: Nevermind :| I'm wrong

YOU WOULD SAY IF I WERE TO ASK YOU IF THIS DOOR LEADS TO FREEDOM WOULD YOU SAY YES, BECAUSE IF IT IS THE HONEST ONE WOULD SAY YES AND THE LIAR WOULD HAVE TO SAY YES BECAUSE IF HE SAID NO IT WOULD BE THE TRUTH

ask him to go in door A, find out that way. He'll say yes or no accordingly, and you'll have your answer, too.
