I took Spanish and German. I took German because it's part of my heritage and Spanish because the guy I was dating at the time was from Spain.

I took French for 5 years (4 in high school, 1 in college) because I like the language. I also took 3 years of German in high school because my dad speaks German.

To hell with Spanish, too Cheech and Chong for me.
German? Who really speaks that in high-school.
French--now there's a savvy romantic language!! This one was my choice and I'm glad I learned it....as much as I did. My only thing was the French teacher was too absorbed into student popularity clubs; a snob that really put me off pursuing French further.

I took two years of Spanish and year of German. I had to take two years of one language and German was just for fun and my own intellectual stimulation.
