I learned that I am a good person, worthy of love and happiness. I also learned how to love myself, and in so doing, I gained a much better understanding of what it means to love other people.

I have learned you can accomplished any goal you set for yourself if you just believe in yourself. I always wanted to be a writer, but for years every story I sent to publishers or magazines was rejected. I never gave up hope because I believed there must be a reason why I loved writing. I was almost forty when my first book was accepted and from then on I have written numerous books and short stories. Though I know I will never be famous (another lesson: know your limits) I enjoy what I do and I am satisfied with what I have accomplished.

Im sure you have heard the phrase Life is short. But learning from life, That life is extremly short, when you grow up and have children of your own it is amazing how big your babies will become in such a short time and how valuable the word "NOW" is instead of "later" because they grow up so fast.

That nobody can EVER be prepared for children, you might think you are prepared, you have read everything, people have told you their experiences but when that baby is born your whole world changes. It is unimagineable to a person who hasn't been through it themselves.

That your success all depends on how much you want it. I learned that when I had Ewing's Sarcoma a couple of years ago and had to have two surgeries on my knee. I had to relearn to walk, so I learned a lot from that experience.
