If it were possible to reel you back before you plummeted over the edge, I would love to be able to grant this "nightmare" to all of you who wish it or think it would be a "good idea". As I said, only if I could reel you back because I wouldn't wish anyone a life-time in his own mind.
The first thing that you will undoubtedly find out is how little thought you have truly given many of the ideas that you THINK are good for all of us.
One mind, one opinion, can ONLY elicit an extreme decree. Any governance that is drawn from one, and dictated by one, only has ONE body of knowledge and ONE pool of experience from which to decide the better interests of ALL. That has been tried, to a lesser degree, and that has always failed under a myriad of political philosophies.There would be no checks and no balances against one's anger, avarice, zeal, frustrations, or even ignorance. There would just be one mind, one voice, directing the masses, like lemmings,...over the edge.

You know, I've lived through a lot of changes in the man who sits behind the desk in the oval office. Even the Vietnam war was not as divisive as this war in Iraq. But, in time, the country united pretty well. There were bumps, like Nixon but eventually people mellowed. I wonder if that can happen after this war. I have a strong feeling that the next scandal, involving the administration, will be the final blow. Bush cannot keep this charade going until his term expires. It is utter madness!

It probably work if the politicians and the WE THE PEOPLE would actually follow the CONSTITUTION. The question is, will the people follow it as a guiding light as it was intended.
