People are born bi, gay, and lesbian. I started liking boys at around 9 years old, even before I knew what sex was. By the time I was 10 or 11 years old, I wanted to kiss boys. And it's not something I learned or was taught. I was a virgin until I was 21 years old.

I thought that eventually I would be attracted to girls, but it never happened. I've always only been physically attracted to other men. I didn't choose to be gay. I don't think anyone can change their sexual orientation at will. Although some straight people do experiment with homosexuality, for whatever reason, I don't consider them actually bi/gay/lesbian. For those of us that truly are, it is not a choice or experiment, but something that comes naturally.

I was born gay, and I don't mean that I came out of the womb singing show tunes, but that my sexual orientation was predetermined by my genetic makeup just like heterosexuals. Human beings are so diverse, and that diversity comes from our genes. That's what makes people tall, short, bald, conjoined twined, intersexual, green/blue/brown eyed, and bi/gay/lesbian.

It takes a great deal of honesty to live life as a Gay person. It would be nice if it did not matter to others what ones sexuality is, unfortunately history has degraded sex and it will take many generations before it can be accepted again for the wonderful pleasure it is.
I have the most fantastic life as a gay man and would recommend personal honesty as the first step on the road to happiness.

Science is pointing to it being genetic. Just like some people are born with blue eyes and others brown - some are born with the desire to be with people of the same sex - other the opposite sex - some both and some none.

Why does it really matter? Different strokes for different folks.

Its common for non gays to think that it is a choice. Think about it, why would anyone choose such a hard lifestyle, one filled with hate and reject? They wouldn't! Take it from a gay guy, It isn't choice! Your born that way and you cannot change your orientation.

I'm bisexual, and have been since... I dunno... forever?
I definately didn't "turn that way" of "choose to be that way" by any means. I like men, and I like women.
A lot of GLBT people go through a "denial" phase, if it were a choice, I have a hard time imagining this would be the case.
