This should be an interesting question for those people who like modern bands.

So for those people, why do you prefer your modern bands? I'm hoping for opinions from people that actually have listened to classic rock.

Yes, I like classic rock.

I hate classic rock fans, if that counts.

To answer your second question, I prefer modern bands because they're more white. In the music I listen to, the blues influence is either gone or reduced to a insignificant amount. Instead European folk and classical influences are used.

Well I love Indie and Classic Rock! I prefer 70's - 80's Post-Punk better, but The Who, Pink Floyd and The Stones are always a great listen!

I like modern babnds but they are not my complete preference i know that what is modern could not be without what is classic however what bothers me is wht is considered classic now. i am only 21 and i hear people refer to classic rock as master of puppets (1986) as opposed to that of iron butterfly( 70's) which for some people still isnt classic they think of buddy holly etc. i love it all because it is the basis behind the music movements now.

I love classic rock its my favorite kind of music. I do listen to a few newer band simply because I like the music. Younger people tend to listen to modern rock because they can grow up with the band, and they are able to see those bands live.

I will take classic rock over modern rock anyday. The garbage they are passing off as music nowadays is just criminal. THere are exceptions, just not a lot of them.

I don't care for anything that is coming out now. I'm an 80's metal fan and a classic rock fan. I'd much rather hear Black Sabbath, Pink Floyd, Judas Priest, Iron Maiden, Savatage, Saxon, Deep Purple, Metal Church, Uriah Heep, Mountain,..etc.. it is so much better than what is being played today.

What seperates Classic Rock from Alternative, EMO and Rap is today's bands total disrespect and lack of regard for the sound that made music history before they stumbled zonked on crystal meth or crack---and became the flavor of the week. And today's band is doing pretty dam good to be remembered two weeks, sad to say.

Even the fans of Alternative and EMO, if you look at them objectively, they even know there's something missing from today's music; they're too stubborn to admit it, though.

Self-disrespect from today's artists on their stage and studio sound, music creativity and themselves personally--all play a factor into what's really screwed up in music today.

i like classic rock, which contain the band you point out, and that i additionally like Nirvana. i do no longer evaluate it to be on an identical par through fact the final classic rock, yet its extraordinarily good so a methods as extra moderen music is going. the main people who hate Nirvana are followers of 80s hair metallic. Now, Nirvana did spawn a legion of poor bland imitators, of which the likes of Nickelback are one variety. the hassle with grunge is that if it lacks the means, sincerity, emotional intensity, and massive riffs of Nirvana, this is an extremely uninteresting variety of music. frequently it has possibly had a foul result on music, in encouraging the punk ethic, the place technical skillability, complexity and and so on. are disregarded. The commercialized watered-down crap is the worst of direction, yet even the indie scene has been contaminated with grungoid depressing monotony.

Whoever doesn't like classic rock was probably brainwashed into thinking whatever their parents like is bad. We all know that's not true. Classic rock is waaaaay better than the emo sh!t these days, no doubt about it.
