It is regrettable that most Indians get emotionally involved when their teams clash with others in matches. A match is a contest of skills and capabilities of the participants. If they have been well-trained, given good practice, made aware of the ground realities, weather conditions, levels of preparedness of rivals and above all the need to keep the equnimity of mind under stress and strain, that team would come out with flying colours.
On the other hand, our hero-worshippers find that their heros have returned to the pavillion, and they get an obsession about
the might of the other team! With a fogged mind and hazy eyes they misjudge the movement of the ball and get out soon!
In the army they say, "the soldiers fight and the captain gets the medal!"
In the context of Indian cricket, the team loses and the Captain gets people's wrath!!
Under such circumstances, many versatlie crickters would give up the captaincy and be conten t with a place in the team.
Now Rahul has been constrained to do so.
He deserves our praise.

I strongly feel that Dravid, as a Captain has done reasonably well. However, there has been unwaqrranted criticism against him all along. One must remember that he is a human and bound to make mistakes. Instead of appreciating the fact that he never took a wrong decision intentionlly both medioa and general public have been lashing out at him. It appears that he has fed up with all these tamashas and decided to quite, for which he cannot be blamed.

Dravid is a good captain.
We win some tests abroad under his captaincy (SA, WI, ZIM, ENG)From nowhere he was not getting enough support ,
the decision of not follwon england in the final test
gets a lot of criticism. I support dravid on his decision
even it is not a valuable one, I know.

Dravid is one the greatest batsman of all time but he is not the greatest when it comes to Captaincy.
His decision came just at the right time, now Ganguly should be the Captain for the next big series against Aus and Pak.

he is certainly not as capable as ganguly.he cannot cope with the responsibilities.just because he had to bear criticism for losing wc and also taking wrong decisions in the natwest, he is scared.he shouldn't have taken such a big decision ahead of such an important series like australia.

he is not fit for the captaincy since he is very soft hearted and very polite. that is is his weak point.
