Because the man doesn't bend... he is unphased. Even amidst this whole cheating controversy his focus is where it should be... beating other football teams, beating the Chargers. His refusal to answer questions about the cheating is great... he is a competitor and doesn't let the media phase him. They are the only reason why this thing has gotten so blown up... because they hate him because he refuses to give them their story. The man focuses on FOOTBALL... that is whay the sports media should be focusing on, not some stupid cheating scandal that every other NFL team takes part in. Concentrate on the Chargers vs. Patriots... one of the greatest games of this NFL season. It's not Belicheck, it's the media... they make him out to be this monster because he won't answer their questions. Like how they made it seem he FORCED Ted Johnson to play. I actually went to an autograph signing and he said what he said was ripped apart and has nothing but respect for his former coach. Ahh media.. ha!

There's alway a little more to stories that the media lets on. If it's not interesting enough they will juice it up... and why not juice up a story on a guy that gives them nothing in the press conference except football facts. He is a horrible man! People say he treated his coaching staff bad... I guess that's why before Charlie Weiss and Romeo Crenell left they came up and hugged him. The man respects his colleagues, and the sport, and only takes part in actions that have become common place in the NFL Really unfair how the man is being demonized just because he wants to coach football and nothing else. It's ok... he'll make his REAL statement against the Chargers.

I think you're looking at the situation through a bit of rose-colored glasses. Not talking about accusations is the typical reaction of anyone in the public limelight that is accused of doing something wrong. This is done in hopes that people eventually will stop talking about it, and once that happens it will fade from the mind of the people and it will no longer be an issue. Bellichek isn't doing this because of his character, he's more likely doing it because his lawyers told him to.
You notice that Michael Vick did the same thing during the height of the whole dog-fighting incident, and he did not speak on the situation until the proof became overwhelming. You can more or less guarantee that if the video tapes that were confiscated somehow become public and the proof becomes irrefutable that Bellichek will indeed come out and apologize, but before that happens he will continue to not comment on the situation.

BECAUSE YOU ARE A TOTAL TOOLBAG?
Well, will see about the Charger game, I hope you are aware that Brady is listed as probable for the game on Sunday as he has an injured shoulder, if he is not bale to go or is hurt early in the game, do you really believe the Pats havea chance with Matt Cassel?
In case you don't know who that is. he's the #2 QB in New England and he sucks...just thought you would like to know.

First off, if you love him so much, learn to spell his name. Its Belichick. Secondly, he is unphased for two reasons, he has no personality, and if he starts to talk to the media about it, everyone of his fans will realize what a complete jerk he is. All of Parcells' coaches were egotistical, arrogant, lifeless garbage, just like him. The only thing is that Parcells had charisma that got him by with the fans. The rest, Coughlin, Weis, Crennel, and Belichick are all just plain jerks. That is why they never talked to the media.

i agree with you. belichick is not treated fairly, he is thrown under the bus for any little thing. he is not a people person, not a charmer, society naturally penalizes people for that. it's an unfair part of life.
