Or do you think he's still welcomed at McLaren?

It's likely he'll back back at Renault.
I've a feeling that Ron may well sack Alonso at the end of this season. I wouldn't blame him either. Alonso has been nothing more than a unprofessional windbag during his time at Mclaren and now with him being caught up in this whole spy affair.
To the guy above, as far as I'm aware, Prodrive are going to be using a customer chassis from Mclaren, I doubt that they'd be recieving funding from Mclaren to race and I wouldn't expect them to play as Mclaren's B team.
Dave Richarads was the man responsibe for helping BAR become reasonably sucsessful in F1 (2nd in constructor's championship).
Have you noticed that since Honda took over and Dave Richards' services were not used their form has taken a drastic plunge?
As other people on here have pointed out in the past, expect Prodrive to be annoying some of the front runners rather quickly in F1. They certainly won't end up like Toyota that's for sure.

I think it's a question of whether Alonso wants to stay at McLaren, not whether McLaren want to keep Alonso. I'm sure they will retain him as he is one of the best drivers currently in F1. But apparently, he has complained about double standards favoring teammate Lewis Hamilton.

There are rumors circulating that he might return to former team Renault after all (he left them without informing the team boss and his manager Flavio Briatore) but it is still uncertain.

Like the person above says, I think he will have to stay at McLaren. I think one result of the FIA ruling is that teams will be very careful about employing a person from another team, even someone like a driver, preferring instead a person from outside of F1 so they can't be accused of copying something from another team.
I think if he wants to go to another team then he will have to go on "gardening leave" for a while, or maybe drive in another arena such as NASCAR for a year.

once you see what he has done, he will not be back in F1. as you will see in the future he has made some very serious threats inside Mclaren and no one will ever hire Alonso the Balckmailer again.

After finding out what he did (if they didn't already know), Mclaren would want to keep him even more.

easily for Renault returned and as his team has already promised for a extra useful vehicle this time,so as he proved his well worth on the top of final season by ability of triumphing 2 consecutive races,he stands out as the champion this time.
