Well clearly, if you want to move on, first you need to try to do so. One way is to stop making such rude vulgar remarks. Anger has a way of burning something into someone's brain.

I often see people on here ask questions about my beliefs, claiming they don't want any part of them. Simple idea, stop asking questions about them.

One person on here recently said that she isn't giving her former faith another second of her time. Meanwhile she still asks and answers questions about what are supposedly her former beliefs.

I do think it is nice you at least have held on to the knowledge that hellfire doesn't exist.

This is what a false religion will do and this is a false religion's intent. The devil wants you hating God and totally confused by a religion that the devil created. A false prophet created the Jehova's Witness theology and anything that is not of God will not stand.

The truth is in the Word of God and I only read the King James Version of the Holy Bible. The rest get too far away from the original Scriptures inspired by God.

Revelation 1:8 "I am the Alpha an dthe Omega," says the Lord God, "who is, and who was, and who is to come, the Almighty."

Who is speaking in the Revelation verse above? Jehovah God

Now turn to Revelation 21:5-7
He who was seated on the throne said, "I am making everything new!" Then he said, "Write this down, for these words are trustworthy and true." He said to me: "It is done. I am the Alpha and the Omega, the Beginning and the End. To him who is thirstyI will give to drink without cost from the spring of the water of life. He who overcomes will inherit all this and I will be his God and he will be my son."

Who is speaking here? Jehovah God

Now turn to Revelation 1:17,18
"When I saw him, I fell at his feet as though dead. Then he placed his right hand on me and said: "Do not be afraid, I am the First and the Last. I am the Living One; I was dead, and behold I am alive for ever and ever! And I hold the keys of death and Hades."

When did Jehovah God die? If Jehovah God is not Jesus, then when did Jehovah God die?

Jehovah God and Jesus Christ are One and the Same.

Good grief!

Further your education in religion. Take courses in "comparative religion" in school. Go to the library and rent books and read up on different religions.

You'll find that there is a truth somewhere that is uplifting to you and positive. You hate the religion you've been raised in, but you're afraid not to. It's perfectly normal reactions to growing up and wanting to expand your knowledge base in life and make up your own mind.
Go searching, go read, go exploring and put the fear aside.
God is much bigger than ANY religion anyway. Remember religion is man's interpretation of a God we can't describe.
What you will find in your search and studying is that God is everywhere, not exclusive to any way particular way that man tries to interpret.

I know exactly how you feel!
It took me several years to overcome the religious brainwashing that I went through when I was young. I just finished reading "The God Delusion" by Richard Dawkins (which was recommended for you in another post). It is a great book and I highly recommend it!

If you are of a more spiritual nature, then maybe a Zen retreat (which was also previously recommended) would be good for you - My son went on one last year and he loved it.

I, personally, waiver between agnosticism and polytheism (to me, the personification of natural forces is more accurately represented by a multiplicity of gods and goddesses). Anyway, it seems to me like you are an intelligent, free-thinking person who has the courage to think for yourself.

Good luck!

Well. no one can change who you feel but yourself. If you feel that you hate God that is your thing but don't Blame God for the way you where brought up or what your Religion Scared you with. Look with in your self and if you really want to be a None believer you wouldn't have to worry about what you where taught as a child in your religion. just move on like you would move on from an ex lover. God Bless you.

I know how you feel. I was a Southern Baptist. It took awhile for me to deprogram. Allow yourself time. Read. Something that help me believe it or not I studied the bible for help. After finding versus in the bible that supported my thinking it helped me alot.

Acts: God is not in any temple created by mans hands - I learned god is not apart of the temple.
Matt 13:13 - Even jesus followers didn't understand gods teachings
The bible does reconize the fact there are other gods, and the christian god has fellowship among them.

Explore and allow youself to be free.....Knowledge is 1/2 the battle.

Good luck on your path! May god/goddess bless you.

I did, reading, studying searching what I needed . Asking, to wise and opened mind people. No matter the religion they practice It s scary to believe in hell and heaven. Nobody wants to believe it, cause it means sacrifices and do our best to reach heaven and leave many things that are no right in our lives. I don t like the idea either. And if it exist? Keep looking for your own way for what is truth.

Find and read a book called "The Three Prophets of Ireland", it's about 3 men of religion who travel across the entire planet searching for PROOF of God. I guarantee that it will change your life forever......

Open your mind, and read the Gospels again-afresh (Just not from the NWT!-use a NKJV, an NIV, NASB-just NOT a Watchtower translation). The Jesus of the Bible is very different from the Jesus of the Watchtower. This is a Jesus you can trust-and know.
