I am curious to know as well, and am surprised that there has been no word yet from Cubs management. In 1998 and 2003, they did not wait until the team had clinched a playoff berth, as that would not have left enough time to deliver the tickets purchased online and via the telephone. Obviously, if you buy tickets for a game that doesn't end up existing, such as if they don't make the playoffs period or if you have tickets for a game 4 in rd one and the series ends in a sweep, you have to go and stand in line to get the refund. . . .

Those of you who say the reason the Cubs haven't yet posted an on-sale date for playoff tickets is due to their worries of having to refund people who waited in line to buy them are DEAD WRONG.
The Cubs will offer a sale that is strictly internet and phone only. There will be no need to flood the Will Call wndows of Wrigley to get one's money back. All refunds will be automatically credited to one's credit card.
The Cubs will most likely announce sometime this week. They will also most likely be having a random drawing in which fans must submit their names in hopes of being picked for the OPPORTUNITY, not guarantee, to purchase playoff tickets to the first round .

Well, the Chicago Cubs have to make the playoffs first, and when they do, or if they start getting closer to, keep your eyes and ears open, a date will be annouced when playoff tickets will go on sale. If the date is known, they would have annouced it already, but they haven't annouced the date yet. So please keep checking in, or even to Cubs.com, and if we hear anything we will let you know.

Cubs tickets will go on sale the second they officially make the playoffs. And with how close the divisional races are this year, you can expect that tickets won't go on slae until the last week of the season.

when (and IF) they officially make the playoffs. Would you want to buy tickets and then two weeks later when they were eliminated, stand in line with other purchasers to get your money back? Not me !!

I just looked and found several sites that are listing them right now for all possible home games. StubHub and various other agencies.
