I go over to the Religion & Spirituality section some, home & garden some, nature some, yes ... but politics is what is creating the most inluence on our society today, and it's where the most influence is needed.
Politics is where Anti-Moral laws are being legislated upon by the Courts, that are causing so much strife and indifference in our world today, and I can only assume the political system is bankrupt due to all these Anti-Moral laws.
The Courts were'nt meant for individuals, they were meant to pass the laws of the Majority ... Seems Liberals have changed that Traditional longstanding Ideal, as they have so many other things honored as our Heritage.
God help America!!

Yes. Actually, I consider politics a sin, a low point. It's where I go when I get tired of giving constructive, helpful advice.
I participate in martial arts, philosophy, books and authors, history... All subjects where I can do better than simply argue with people because I have life experience and a life-long love of knowledge to share. I am the proud recipient of a classical education, which tends to be a rarity in today's fast world, and I like to share the fruits of that privilege when I can.
I also sometimes participate in religion, but I tend to steer clear of debate there. I simply try to share in the wisdom... give a balanced view of things all can profit from.
Politics truly does represent my dark side. I make no secret of the fact I am far from happy with the present administration. I don't know if I'm helping change anybody's mind by participating on here, or if I'm just throwing oil (no pun intended) on a very old fire. I just find it easier on this particular forum to forget about all the proper rules of argumentation and get down in the mud with the worst of them. Sometimes, in politics, it is hard to distinguish the fine line between brutally honest and simply brutal.
And yes, polls and surveys is a lot of fun. That's also a nice place to go to, because that forum is way more laid back. (kind of the opposite of this one, actually).

I sometimes participate in Religion and Spirituality. Lately, though, I've been participating a lot in the Science and Mathematics section, particularly math. There's something satisfying about answering questions that aren't rants (you don't hear people calling each other names over the issues of factoring polynomials) and there's a right answer to a mathematical equation. I lost my "top contributor" label by straying from my main area, politics, with no regrets.

After taking beatings for defending our government in the political section, I'll go over to the math and science section and help kids with their homework. Probably the same people who give me political thumbs down for giving government officials a break need my homework help. Even though its not cool to defend politicians these days, they had to go to college, and had youthful ideals at one time, just like many of us.

I like Books&Authors, History, Words and Wordplay is my usually circuitous route. Sometimes I'll add movies, food and polls if I have time just to play, but by far Politics is my favorite.

I spend about as much time on computer questions as I do in politics, if not more. I'm a geek at heart.
