9/12 - 8/ 12 > -x/6

1/12 > -x / 6

1/2 > -x

x > -1/2

Doing the indicated calculation, 1/12>-(x/6)
or -1/12 > x/6 and -6/12>x, so x<-1/2

Multiply all by 4.
3 - 8/3 > -4x/24
Multiply all by 3.
9 - 8 > -12x/72
9 - 8 > -6x
1 > -6x
That's the answer. 1 > -6x.
