so what do i do? should i tell him i want an i pod?

When I was a kid, I'd ask my dad for $5 for something. H'ed reach into his pocket and pull out a quarter.

Then I'd say, "But I need $5."

He'd pull out another quarter and say, "Well now you're 50 cents closer."

The point is, he wants you to be modest. If you want an IPOD then earn the money and buy one.

He's not supposed to give you a Cadillac when you want a car. He can give you a Yugo.

You make the best out of what you have. And ... don't push it in the dad department. He knows you want an IPOD, but he doesn't want to spoil you too much.

Besides. You already have an mp3 player, why would you need 2?

Yeah just tell him you want an ipod because its better than an mp3 player. Try to explain how much an ipod is better than an mp3. I think he'll get you it. Tell him the difference between the 2. Then maybe he'll consider getting you an ipod. Best of luck to you!!!
