well there are so many avenues to venture when asking this question...
what if the mother was raped?
what if the mom can't give or promise through adoption that the child would get the life it deserves?
what if it would kill the mother?
what if the child will be mentally challenged or have other vital health issues?
it controls world population...
what if the child is incest?...
then there's the reliable card of how it affects the woman's body(I'm a woman and i personally say bullshit how can you defend that what woulod you say "i wanted to look like a playboy bunny so i killed the kid so i wouldnt get fat and have strech marks' i think youd feel more fufilled with a kid lady and youd learn to love the strech marks because you gave of your self selflessly and was a home for the child you where everything it needed)...
well many scenarios can be brought forth but that fact still remains that it is a human being whether you call it a fetus or embryo or zygote
just like a toes a toe wither you call it a digit a phalanges or a Lil piggie.
look we aren't entitled to anything in this life.
i think the symbolism of our birthday suit represents that
and life is what you make it good or bad happy or sad
children or not you get what you get
and im not tryin to sound cold hearted that is just reality
no one should decide whether someone has the right to live or how they live period
and as you explain how or why you should decide that
remember he without sin cast the first stone.

I think it depends on the situation.
If the mother were in danger, or the baby and mother were, then i think that it is the familys decision.
I think that in terms of rape, that the mother has a choice their.
When it comes to teens, one night stands, etc. i think that there should be no abortion allowed. but i drive myself nuts, because then I always think, well what if they put the child up for adoption and then the kid will wonder, and then not feel loved, and then think they were a complete accident.
and if they have an abortion with the baby instead, i think its horrible, because the baby did nothing wrong.
but the problem with abortion, is some people would use it as a "birth control pill" meaning they would be careless because they would just be like F*** it i can jjust have an abortion..
There are so many subjects of arguements in this matter, it is really hard to find the "perfect" answer.

I am against abortion for myself. I personally believe that life begins at conception and that abortion is murder. I would never consider having one under any circumstance.
That being said,I also feel that I don't have the right to make that decision for someone else. It should remain legal from a medical standpoint, not a moral one. Women will have abortions whether they are legal or not. I would prefer they be done safely instead of from a crack pot doctor in a back alley like they used to be.

im against it, but there are some situations that i feel it may be needed (like if the woman is raped or has an illness that could threaten her life by keeping the baby). but to have an abortion off of GP, I just cant get with. It's 2007 and far too many methods of birth control for men and woman for the term "unwanted pregnancy" to still exsist. and if you are not responsible enough to protect yourself.... or deal with the consequences..... then you shouldn't be having sex period.
too many chicks these days use abortion as a method of birth control and it's sick. i am totally against it except for extreme circumstances.

abortion is murder
it is taking the life of an innocent victim
no matter what the circumstances life begins at conception
in the womb when the egg and sperm meet life begins, a soul is present.
yes even in the case of rape , the woman is a victim and so is her baby, why make a baby pay for the rapist sin.
another option is surragate moms, if you discover you are pregnant and don't want it , check out this option if possible
there are so many women who can not for one reason or another carry a child or even get pregnant.
ANYONE can give an unwanted baby up for adoption and today there is no reason for abortiion since if any woman does not want her child she can SAFELY walk into any hospital or fire station and give her baby to them and walk out no questions asked.
If you don't want children men AND women need to take precautions. before SEX not after.

Really, I don't think many people would say they are pro-abortion. They are Pro-Choice. I am pro-choice because I do not believe it is the governments job to decide what a woman does with her body, regardless of the circumstances. Pregnancy is a medical condition of a woman, and all decisions should be made by her and her doctor, and it really is nobody's business what a woman decides to do, least of all some conservative bureaucrat pushing some sort of religious agenda.

I think it should be legal, based only on the fact that outlawing it will not stop it. Outlawing abortion only moves the practice to the back alley, with a coat hanger. I too find it morally reprehensible, but I know, just like with the drug war, laws stop nobody, and I'd rather see people do abortions safely, rather than kill the mother and child.

It should be legal. For the following reasons. In no special order
1: It is not the governments place to control the reproductive capacity of humans. If it is the governments place then we are no more than animals to be breed.
2: It is not religions place to control the reproductive capacity of humans. god is so different to so many people how can we force one belief on top of another? Does that not make us evil?
3: Only you can say what is done to your body. Anything else is abuse.
But the real question that comes next? When does life begin.
The answer is simple, when it can, with out the aid of any mechanical devices sustain itself on its own, only then does life begin. While in the womb it is wholly dependent on the mother for its needs to simply "breath".
STOP putting your morals on other people is what my grandmother used to tell me. She was a southern baptist christian, but she did not believe a church had the right to dictate rules. You answer to your god when you life is done.
The government is not god....not yet at least though I'm sure that a few politicians feel they can walk on water.

I'm personally against abortion, however I do respect every ones opinion and option to choose. For me it's something that I could never do, and I have been in the predicament. I believe that everyone should take responsibility to not make unwanted babies or be man or woman enough to face the consequences if you do.

I am personally against it but you have to look at it like this. If abortion was outlawed then you would have crazy b*t*h*s trying to do it themselves. I know a girl who drank bleach to kill her child. Although she ended up in the hospital it still worked. I have a kid and im 19 years old and still in school but abortion was never an option for me I love my daughter with all of my heart, its hard to be a teenage mother but things happen and you just have to take responsibility for your actions! I dont see how women can have a living baby in them and want to kill it, but thats how the world is these days!
