First, even before breakfast (and for me that's MIGHTY rare!), I wrote a blog telling my friends about the recent shift in my spiritual path. Got some great feedback on it, too.
My best friend called, which he hasn't done in weeks because he's been super busy, and we had a chance to schmooze for awhile. I also got a chance to talk to his son for a minute, and ask him if he wanted the DVD I got by accident from the DVD club [he did]. I also watched two of the movies I recently received and wrote my blogs about them.
Made some progress reading the book I've been researching for a presentation at the Ethical Society, which I hope to have ready by Halloween, as it is very scary. It's about brainwashing, propaganda and the like by fundamentalist religious types in both Christianity and Islam, and comparing them to Nazi propaganda techniques.
Found two books that will help my work, both from Amazon, which allowed me to take advantage of a special free shipping deal.
All in all, a pretty good day. I'm about to pack it in. Nighty nite!

Well, I heard a knocking on the front door. So, I went and opened the door and nobody was there. I looked down at the sidewalk and lo-and-behold ----- there was a squirrel wanting his English Walnuts. I always throw out some nuts for the squirrels in my front maple trees and I guess I forgot this morning. Squirrels are smart. They knew if they could get my attention that the nuts would be forthcoming.
LOL. This is a true story.

I almost got caught firebombing a garbage truck. A flat tire stopped it before it got within range. Had to run and get the garden hose and dang near didn't put out my molotov cocktail in time. Then the Library called about my overdue books. Now I've locked the door and turned off all the appliances. The computer is next.

Writing that little Percival Penguin story, actually =).
Well, technically that was the highlight of yesterday, since it's now tomorrow, but I haven't gone to bed yet so yesterday is still today as far as I'm concerned.
And I also received a phone call from a friend I haven't heard from in a while today... er, uhm... yesterday.
But that's really kinda gonna be a highlight of tomorrow since she called when I was out and I got home too late to call her back so I won't actually speak to her until tomorrow. But since tomorrow is actually today, I suppose this highlight more accurately answers your question, even though it hasn't happened yet.
Confused?
Me too.
Definitely time for bed.

Hello. The highlights of my day are:
1. Seeing my younger brother who's in from NYC.
2. Seeing two sweet kids who are so special whom I've not
seen in a long time.
3. Teasing the stew out of some kids... ha, ha, ha!
4. Enjoying myself while drawing... which I do for leisure,
fun, and for a creative outlet.
I am glad to see my younger brother and I wish I could take time from work and we could go do some things together. That's not happening though. Darn.

The highlight of my day yesterday [when you posted this question] was climbing in to bed around 8:30pm. I hadn't gotten much sleep this past week.
Woke up at 7:30 this morning -- a glorious 11-hour sleep! Utterly sublime!

Haven't had a chance for a highlight quite yet, worked my butt-off yesterday. Woke-up an hour early, choaking down some coffee and a B/E/Cheese bagel, and you guys. So, guess I'm off to a decent start.

1. Got several perverted e-mails from foreign gentlemen.
2. Discovered a cheap substitute for Vegemite, from Brazil.
3. Watching the kid next door come into my yard to get his ball, and my dopey dog barked and attacked him AFTER he'd already returned to his own side of the fence.

I was walking on the side of the road with my friends and some truck almost hit us. The road is empty and the truck is supposed to be on the other side, but no, he's stupid and comes on the other side and gets about a foot away from hitting us. Then one of my friends acted like he was gonna flip him off and the dude stopped so my friends all ran.
