does science leave any room for religion now that its discovered theories of relativity, superstring theory, BIG BANG THEORY!, wormholes, blackholes, stars, etc..... why have religioin anymore? everything has chance not luck. everything has reason not a supernatural "thing" controling it. Matter is not created by "god" it is eternal. What is the use of religion when it is so unaccurate to the creation of the universe???

There is still much beyond what we understand. Religion is doomed when it tries to undermine science with ideas like "the Earth is the center of the Universe" or when they deny obvious things like the concept of evolution. I find the idea very dubious that something would interact in our lives, created 10 trillion billion solar systems, and started it all 14 billion years ago. I am certain there is something beyond our physical being from personal experience, but most religious people's ideas are not rational explanations for what we know about the universe. We really don't have many of the fundamental answers to the nature of the universe. There is a place for religion but they need to adopt some humility.

Well, its not. First of all, wormholes were almost proven impossible to exist. Black holes, stars, etc. has nothing to do really with religion. Again, the theory of relativity has nothing to do with religion. Super string theory is a very out there theory that has no physical evidence to support it (its all math and brainstorming and alot of it doesn't make sense yet). The Big Bang Theory actually supports the concept of a God, as the only other thing that we can comprehend that could cause such a force of energy would be super string theory (which as I mentioned, has its issues). Just because mass is eternal in our understanding, doesn't mean it was always there (thats a presumption with physics that cannot be proven whatsoever). I personally do not believe in luck, but that also has nothing to do with religion. We actually have no physical evidence denying that there is or isn't a God, so there may very well be a supernatural being controlling the universe.

Religion is actually very useful (as long as it is not translated 100% literally or used fanatically). It gives hope to people that there is a purpose for all of us here and that we are not a random accident in the grand scheme of things. For the most part, religion itself is nothing bad or wrong, its just sometimes misinterpreted.

Religion is the who and why, Science is the when and how. Thats how I like to see it anyway. For example, the bible says in Genesis that God made the first humans out of the dust. Now, if taken literally, it sounds crazy and inaccurate. Now add science into the picture. Science tells us that an event long ago set life into motion, and through evolution man emerged. The most probable event that was theorized is that a comet hit earth and set chemical changes in motion that randomly created extremely primitive forms of life. Now what is a comet made out of? Dust. What does the bible say God made us out of? Dust. Science doesn't disprove religion, it explains it to us in ways we couldn't have ever expected.

Hope this educates you. If you are an atheist (I am assuming you are based on your question) then don't think I'm trying to convert you or anything as I fully respect your belief system. Just remember to respect mine in return.

Thanks for such a thought provoking question!

well!well...

look dear who ever you are..if you say that all the universe is created by its self, so its wrong. If I say that today I saw a tree which was cut down by its self and a ship was made by it by its self so you will definitely say that the person needs a brain doctor. Then how can you say that the universe has been created by its self? A creater is there! of course.

2ndly those black holes, black worms..etc. they do exist. Its related to the religion as you have now related science with the religion so I must have to explain that in the holy book of Muslims i-e. Quran, almost every thing about science is explained INDIRECTLY! because if in those times the messengers if said that people! mass can be converted into energy.so of course people would have never understood and that is why the text is all indirectly related to science.
3rdly you are correct about "every thing has a reason" but just think why it has a reason and who has created that reason? Of course someone do exist.

Please reply if you have any confusion about my words. or you need a prove or one more example :)

well sweetie, I think everything in the universe has been fully explained by science except flightless aquatic birds. There is a theory about the selective advantage of being a flightless aquatic bird that lead to their evolution, but it is controversial. So, we still need God to explain flightless aquatic birds. Everything happened naturally, though . B

Science is the search for knowledge; religion is the search for meaning. If properly applied, they should not conflict. Religion goes wrong when it attempts to explain the physical universe. Science goes wrong when it assumes that all of human experience is can be dealt with by rational analysis.

Some people like the familiar comfort that religion provides. Science asks a lot of questions and is willing to admit that "it does not know". That is a scary thing that is not for everyone.

Duh, science keeps proving the existence of God more all the time. Oh, really, matter is eternal? Have you seen matter destroyed over and over? Matter is not eternal. Nothing here is eternal. All that will live on is our souls. Everything, and I mean everything else is temporary. I'm sorry to disappoint a lot of people, but God did cause certain things to evolve. The world isn't really just 10,000 years old. It's very, very old and God did it all. The world is very, very old and God might have used a BIG BANG when He did it. God is also love and some people refuse to except that, just like they refuse to except that the world is billions of years old. He also likes rock and roll and isn't at all religious.

it extremely is a sturdy question. technology & reason are lots extra logical and important than faith and mythology. faith replaced into as quickly as a device to regulate lots of people. It nevertheless does administration human beings to a pair quantity in the present day. although, everybody is taking off to rouse and are available across that faith isn't based upon logic. as quickly as the weaknesses are uncovered, human beings start to think of on their own and see that this is all hokum.
