does science leave any room for religion now that its discovered theories of relativity, superstring theory, BIG BANG THEORY!, wormholes, blackholes, stars, etc..... why have religioin anymore? everything has chance not luck. everything has reason not a supernatural "thing" controling it. Matter is not created by "god" it is eternal. What is the use of religion when it is so unaccurate to the creation of the universe???

If we are trying to use religion to explain creation of the Universe then yes, we have better theories than religion.

However, if the role of the religion is to bring in help and kindness it still has the right and reason to exist. You don't have to believe in a superior being somewhere in the sky (?) looking after you all the time. It has the purpose of shutting out some distracting information or helping not get lost in all the information that you have now. Say, if you're all worried about nothing, thinking that you might break your leg as soon as you step out of your house and your house will catch on fire as soon as you turn the corner, and the ambulance car might fall off the cliff before it gets you to the hospital, and all the explanations using probabilities still don't put you at ease, one simple suggestion to "have faith" can help.
"Have faith, the world is not out there to get you :-) "

Another use is to instill some values. Don't kill and don't steal. Not everyone has a good parent at home.

That's a good question. Science & reason are far more logical and important than religion and mythology. Religion was once a tool to control masses of people. It still does control people to some extent today. However, people are beginning to wake up and discover that religion is not based upon logic. Once the weaknesses are exposed, people begin to think on their own and see that it's all hokum.

Yes. I loved that speech that Dan Brown made at the press release of his novel "The Da Vinci Code." He believed that science and religion goes hand in hand. These are two different approaches to answeing the same question that all humans have been questioning for centuries.

If you use the scientific method to investigate all your questions, you may not ever consider the existence of God.

But then again, when you look out at the universe and behold all of its complexity how can you not consider a God? Who would look at a clock, with all of its gears and other mechanisms, and deny its maker?

I'm not trying to convince you, just trying to get you to think outside the box.
