If you are looking for a Korean Grocery Store, try Komart on Gessner near 1-10. I am not sure how the prices are in general on items, but buying CDs and DVDs may be a bit high.

Honestly, if you are looking for korean music artists, buy your stuff online at http://www.yesasia.com. It's pretty cheap.

As for korean DVD movies and series, try Minh Tan at Hong Kong Market on Bellaire and Boone. I shop there all of the time for dramas, horror movies, and series. You can get individual DVDs for as low at $7 to $10. Ask the guy up front where they keep it. Now that I think about it, you can find a small collection of k-pop there as well in the back (music artists like se7en, GOD, boa, etc).

Best of luck.

Chinatown along Harwin and Bellaire are the best places to look. Also, Gesner, north of I-10 and East to Fondren there are small pockets of small Korean shops and restaurants.

In general, along Longpoint from Gesner to just west of Wirt is the highest concentration in the city of Korean related churches, shops and restaurants. South along the feeder roads in between are also places.

to be honest, the best thing to do is go to the nearby korean restaurant or even dry cleaners(of course must be korean owners) and ask them .... it'll be much easier.. i'm korean and I've looked on-line, yellowpages... then I asked a couple in one of those clothing store and they told me exactly where I can go... good luck!!
