I have hundreds of "friends" but only three real "friends"

I've been more of a loner most of my life....it hasn't really been my choice though. -_- People always seem to get a bad case of the "toos" around me: "He's too smart, too fat, too poor, too ugly, too prissy when he talks (for not cussing), too this, too that...."
Meh. You know you're in trouble when you hear from your own aunts and uncles, when you're younger, that your own *mother* thought you were an ugly baby. -_-
But yeah....point is, I've been a loner, but it's been kind of forced on me, and I'd rather *not* be such all my life.
But hey, what can you do? People only want to hang out with you if you are young, rich or "pretty and vacant". Otherwise, they just don't care.

It's not on my nature to be a loner, but I'm a bit of a choosy person when it comes to friends, I would say I have some good amount of acquaintances.

I go towards being a loner. When I'm by myself I'm in very good company.

I have many good friends, not only in my country but worldwide, different races, different nationalities. We usually send mails to each other and even fly to see each other. I'm going to attend ones wedding party in Oct. It's my first time to attend foreigner's wedding party and I'm looking forward to it :)

I have very few friends- I prefer to hang out with my family
BUT the friends I do have, have been around for over 40 years!!!
