Im not sure if I use the right size bra and I was thinking about getting measured, maybe at victoria secret , I dont know yet. But I'm very modest and I was curious on the steps they take and if all places measure the same way.

You don't need to undress (unless you've had breast surgery) and they will simply measure under your bust and around your fullest bust with a tape measure.

Then:
They'll take the number from under your bust and add 4 or 5" to that so that it's an even number. That's your band size.

They'll take the fullest bust measurement and subtract the underbust measurement from that. It should be something between 1-6"; every 1 inch is a cup size starting with A.

Then they put the two things together and have your real bra size. Such as 34A

Some fitters like to take a third measurement above your bust to confirm the band size.

Most will measure from the side so that they don't touch anywhere you're uncomfortable by mistake. You should never need to be measured topless (unless you've had breast surgery) and will only need to take off your shirt if you're wearing thick heavy clothes (so don't go get measured in thick heavy clothes) ☺

Most will also measure you in an open space where there is no chance you are alone together but should have a space that is reasonably private while not secluded.

If you ask, most will check the fit when you try it on but this is entirely up to you and only if you're comfortable. It's really not essential because you'll know if it fits comfortably. If you want the fitter's opinion on the fit, you are allowed to ask.

A good fitter will know which maker's bras will fit your body shape best and will be able to help you select one that meets your needs.

That's all there is to it. Really is that simple. You can even do it yourself or have a friend measure you and you measure her.

This old lady measured me in the middle of the store *scream!* Luckily I was fully clothed and barely anybody was in the store. I'm sure they wouldn't make you strip down just to measure you.

lol I was measured at a victoria's secret like 2 years ago, I was even more uncomfortable with my body then I am now and I remember being all wtf! but all they do is measure under your chest then around it, it's possible for you to do it yourself. VS's site shows you how.
