I was home, watching it on t.v. and i remember thinking "finally, the U.S. gets something they deserve after all the atrocities they have committed around the world for so many years".
Every year on 9/11 i turn my t.v. off because i think they mention it too much. They blame the wrong people, i guess people just don't want to accept that THEIR government did this to them.
Thankfully MY country knows the truth, they blame the real people responsible, the U.S GOVERNMENT.

I was driving a propane truck up 17 north with a trainee riding shotgun. I had Howard Stearn on. He was talking about how he made out in a club with Pam Anderson one time then stopped and said something like "What, did a small plane hit a building or something?" Of course I didn't realize the seriousness of it just then but thats the first I had heard of it. I thought today about the school that wouldn't allow students to wear or display the American flag or any other flag at school this past 911. Didn't want to offend anyone. Sad. I wonder if that idiotic rule would have been in effect the day after it happend? Of course not and it wasn't so why now?

I was asleep when the plane hit the Pentagon...the impact shook my apartment building...Then the phone started to ring and ring...when I answered all I heard was my mom saying the World Trade Center was gone and that the Pentagon had been hit...there was also a rumor flying that another building in DC had been bombed...turned out to be a rumor. It was very weird being here on that day...I was scared and alone with my little baby, we thought there might be more attacks that day. My husband could not get home for hours as traffic was so bad. I could see the smoke from the Pentagon and all I could do was stand in my home and try to stay calm...I spent a lot of time talking on the phone to friends and family...that pulled me through that day.
Every year on 9/11 I wear something patriotic to show my support for the good ol USA. I still live in the DC area, and have seen changes as a result from the attacks, but I am no longer afraid.

I was a senior in high school. I was on the school bus to school when we found out on the radio. When I got off the bus everyone was talking about it. I went into my first class and I saw the live footage of the first tower burning down. I was frozen in my seat watching the towers burn and fall to the ground. I knew that America would be changed forever. Unfortunatly, I've noticed that many American's have already forgotten 9/11. September 11th and the war after the fact became my senior project of study. It helped me to understand what was going on.
Three years later I joined the Army as a nurse. I am stationed at the West Point military academy. On September 11th, I walked through the cemetary that honored many military heros including some who had died in Iraq in Afghanistan.

There was a silence in the entire school we were all in shock and disbelief. The world literally stopped that day.The next day before school we lowered the flag and prayed outside by the flagpole.LIVE LIFE LOVE LIFE

I remember it was my senior year in high school, we found out during second hour (a history class). at first, all we knew was that one of the towers had been hit and it appeared to be an accident. then we watched the second plane hit and it became obvious this was a purposeful attack. it was just a really somber mood, and a lot of us knew there was a possibility of war and that we may be called upon to fight.
i quietly honored the fallen by myself.....
and to all the people making these horrible comments about how the u.s. "deserved" this, that is just rude and inconsiderate. most of the people in those buildings that day were innocent, and had no part in the government's policies. i find it disgusting that you would wish that on anyone!

I'm in australia, and I know there were a few memorials held around the nation. We as a nation also lost people there. I myself didn't do anything, not because I am cruel but because I honestly was too busy. I'm a new 1st time mum, which may not be any excuse to some. The day it happened was nearly 11pm here and I was asleep and my older sister was watching it and called me out of my room, I immediately said terrorists because its a no fly zone and it was a clear day. Sorry to those who lost their lives. We will always remember. God Bless

Please think of of roughly this in case you will.... the suitable one 6th of the WTC tower broken by way of utilising an airliner crash "collapses" down onto the relax (undamaged) portion of the form and motives entire DESTRUCTION. hi with that? From a firefighter, you do no longer detect a table, a working computing device or pc, a telephone... the biggest single piece develop right into a ingredient of a keypad and not an particularly huge one at that. what's the biggest single little bit of a few thing (distinctive than for the metallic beams) that develop into got here across at floor 0? and WHY the finished DESTRUCTION? 3 properties decreased to pulverized bits and small products. How did it ensue? explosives?

I watched the then and now documentary of how it happened, the men that took over the plan and the many that called their homes to tell their loved one's they didn't think they would be coming home.
It was amazing to hear that none cried or anything, they were calm and told their families they loved them.
The day I heard it I had just gotten to work and sat down to eat my donut. I heard someone running around the office telling everyone the towers were hit. Not understanding, I called up the news on the web and with my amazement I saw what was happening. I just sat with my mouth open listening to what was going on.
I could hear my coworker saying that it doesn't look real, is it a joke?
as we watched the events unfold and saw those beautiful twin building collapse so fast, all I could think of was what will happen now?
A few years earlier watching desert storm and seeing the newsmen talking to us while missle were zipping over their heads, I prayed to myself that our country would never have to endear the pain and violence these countries have had to endear for years.
I wondered why no country had ever tried to bring missles and bombs over here?
when I asked that question to people I was told, It'll never happen, they don't have the technology that we have. but I never got over the fear that one day, it would happen.
that morning my fear was realize. I guess if mohamad can't go to the mountain, he will fly a plane into it.

I was driving to work, and it came on the radio, they said a plane had crashed into one of the twin towers. I thought oh my god....that's awful. Then a minute later they came back and said another plane crashed into the other twin tower. I thought the radio station was playing one of their stupid jokes. I thought that's not possible, they are so stupid saying such a thing. Then I went to work and spent the rest of the day watching it unfold on TV...It was a life changing experience. I had to try to explain to a group of mentally handicapped people what was going on and why..... I also live in New York.

I was 21 and at work in Rochester, NY... we were all listening on the radio. It was unbelievable. I actually knew a few people living in the city so I was concerned for them. When I saw pictures/video of what happened on the news later that day, I felt sick. I still feel sick. The only thing I did on the 11th of this year was stop for a few minutes and think about what happened. I wish I had done more, but the day just sneaked up on me. What a tragedy! What a mess. You know Daddy Bush helped to train Osama and his men, right? And now George Jr. is making the situation worse. But of course he wouldn't send his kids to Iraq and they'll never live through anything that awful so he doesn't care. Makes me sick all over again.
