I was wanting to know if and how I can divide my jasmine plant. I've never divided any plants before so I would probably need step by step directions. Thanks!

Why due you wish to divde? Do you just want more plants of the same? They will root from the branches which come in contact with the soil. Which can then be transplanted. If the plant you have is to large then try pinching back the tips to slow growth. But to divide just un-soil plant when soil is moist not wet. Check the crown to locate a place for division that will produce the least amont of stress to the plant. Then cut with a clean knife from the crown to the root, This should be done in the spring just as the plant starts showing signs of life. Best wishes

Do not divide it.
Wrap some soild around a joint and keep it watered. It will grow roots then cut it off and plant it. You can grow dozens that way.
