im not of hispanic or mexican decent and i dont think your percentage is anywhere near correct. anyway to answer your question, if you want to make your culture more noticed then you should do something about it. if you are strictly talking about american culture then go out to a ball game and eat a hot dog, if you are talking further back, then if you are of german decent celebrate oktoberfest or enlgish drink some tea and so on. it is up to the individual to keep their own culture.

Mexican take over? Wow some people are super paranoid, racists, and way stupid. 1. Why should America assimilate with Mexican Culture and not some other culture. 2. I'm Mexican, but I do have a problem with illegals I mean they are breaking the law nothing to it, besides why come here everyone in America hates Mexicans they should just stay and work in Mexico. 3. Spanish will never be the official language, English is still the official language around the whole world, go to any other country you'll always see an english sing as well as the native language sign so no Spanish will not take over, once again do your research English is still #1 in this country and the rest of the world. 4. Remember when the U.S bought all the states from Mexico, well those states came with Mexicans so what do you expect, it's like buying a piece of land filled with grass then complaining that it has too much grass in your land. 5. What recent issue, sending troops to the border? Nothing's gonna happen the high level authorities in this country are bought by the Drug Cartels why do you think so much drug passes through the border so easily. Simple science, some one at the border is turning away when the drug lords pas by. 6. America will crumble, the southern racists will want to split from the union and another civil war will happen, after this America will be left weakened and some other country will easily take it over and no it's probably not gonna be Mexico.

No, not at all. Mexican culture has added to the American culture, just as Italian, Irish, Hungarian, French, Spanish, etc., etc. American culture is, by definition, an amalgamation of many different cultures.
