Yes that would be awesome. Imagine how many points you could get. It would make asking questions worthwhile.

The amount of answers you get has nothing to do with the points system. Yahoo! charges 5 points to ask a question or people would have no incentive to think about what they ask. And if they were rewarded for questions people would spam questions, and those who really need advice wouldnt get any.

I don't think you will get better questions, just more of them. If they got points for each answer, you would see more of the funny questions that everyone loves to answer and less of the thinking ones which never get as many answers.

Yeah but there are those people that just ask questions to get tons of answers and those people would just increase but if it weren't for that i totally love the idea.

That will never happen. It would actually encourage more stupid questions, because those are the ones who get the most answers in the first place.
