Playing a Digital Audio CD?

I have a digital audio CD that I want to play. I have windows media player, but when I put the CD into the drive, it wont play. I even tried going into "my computer" to play it, and nonthing. Can anyone tell me in a detailed way, how to play it? Do I need to convert it or something?

OK the easiest way to fix this is by going to "My computer" selecting the "CD drive" right click the CD and select "Open with..." the select "Windows Media Player"
