You're making me think again.
No, I don't delight in being pampered, not at all. Being pampered meaning having people "do" things for me. I'd much prefer doing them for myself.
Now, I want to ponder why it is that I have a double standard, because I truly enjoying doing things for others. I'm well known for--when someone says they'll do something for me--like carrying up my groceries or whatever, I'll say "Thanks much, but I'll do it." A natural but simplistic progression of thought could be that I don't want to feel obligated, but I KNOW that isn't the reason. (I will let a strong man lift something if it weighs a ton, but that isn't pampering.) I'm doing a self analysis!
No, I just don't want to be pampered!

Of course we do. Who wouldnt like to just put their feet up and let someone else do all the work? We like it because it is easy. Most people like to do nothing and let someone else do everything.
