So I went to Circuit City to buy a new Memory RAM and I asked the guy that I needed PC2700 DDR but he gave me PC3200 DDR. I asked if this would work on my computer, and he told me yes. Now it goes in good, but the clips wont click.

They will show you what memory will work.
The joker at CC gave you the wrong one.

well you have 2 different chip that won't work together. it sounds like to me you have it up-side down. ddr has the single slot in it but will only fit in one way. they are as bad as best buy with selling people the wrong stuff. GET THE SAME PC2700. DON'T CHANGE TO PC3200. YOU WON'T SEE A SPEED DIFFERENCE IN IT EITHER.

Bring the chip back, in the package, along with your receipt. Also, bring the old chip with you to compare chips.
Unfortunately, with Circuit City and Best Buy, they are really good at giving you a hard time about returning things. You'll have to SHOW them the difference in the two chips. That's why you bring the old one with you.
Hope this is a lesson not to buy some things from them in the future. I go to computer repair shops to buy parts. They're cheaper, and you get more personal service with them.

Hi. The two chips should be compatible. Your motherboard may not support running at PC3200 speed (3.2 GHz per second) but they are backwards compatible. If it just doesn't run, return as your other answers suggest.

The both sticks look the same but just won't click? Maybe the one he gave you is DDR2, which is just 1 pin off, so you can't make it fit, it gets stuck at the groove in the middle
