You should be excited how wonderful and congrats. at the beginning it does not feel any different then what her tummy feels naturally, as she gets bigger the tummy will get tighter and tighter, finally in the end it is very tight due to the uterus being a safe haven for the little miracles----- at the end it is almost impossible to indent(so to speak). Since she is going to have twins it is possible(but i have no idea but would suspect) that her tummy would be tighter due to being bigger and more taught. The only stupid question is the one you do not ask. Contact me if you wish. I am very happy for the 2 of you. Make sure she does not over due herself and stay positive and happy. Have a great time with the preg. and the wonderful lives that are going to join your union. enjoy!!!!!
One more thing you will be able to feel different areas of hardness as she gets bigger, i used to be able to feel and run my hand down where her foot was, i could tell where it started and ended---it was so wonderful, you will be able to feel the firmness of the back or bottom or head--it will be harder in places.

I agree with everyone else, its kinda hard to explain in a way. Its hard depending on where you touch but yet soft in some spots. I think some of the people skipped over the fact that she is having twins. She will probably start showing alot earlier depending on if shes a average woman or bigger. Also she may feel them moving sooner than 16 weeks because there are two and they will be taking up more space. It will seem like forever now if she is only just a few weeks along but dont wish it away. It will go by fast. Enjoy it. Congradulations on the babies. Best of Luck.

You won't feel anything for quite some time. Probably around 5+ months it will start to be a little harder to the touch - don't push too hard. As the baby grows the last few months her belly will be pretty hard and sometimes you may feel the baby move fomr the outside - which is really cool. Hold your breath and then feel your belly - kinda similar - squishy yet hard underneath :).
Congrats.

Well, it feels like a tummy. But when she gets further along, it's very common to actually feel the baby. Whether it's a arm or leg. And sometimes the baby will move when you touch him. It's really cool, I could just touch my belly all day long! I'm 32 weeks. Congrats!

It feels firm. Later on in pregnancy, sometimes it is bumpy. Feeling the baby move can be exciting - I'm sure she'll tell you lots!
She probably wont show for at least another 3-4 months. Usually its around 4-5 months she'll really shart showing - but with twins, maybe it'll be sooner.
Congratulations!

at first it feels the same. AS the babies grow you will feel a firm area below the belly button, thats the top of the uterus. By 20-25 weeks she will be showing, and the belly will be round and firm. It gets bigger and harder, until the end when it feels like a basketball!!

it is firm yet soft until the end where it gets hard and it is very neat around month 5-7 when you first get to feel and see the baby move around. its kind of like a balloon you can press it and you fingers will go in a little but it still has a fairly solid shape to it and you can feel pressure behind it.good luck to you and congrats!

Mine feels hard. However, you can still push it in a little. It feels kinda cool. But I can't wait to have my old tummy back. I have forgotten what it use to look like!
