Tea is great, I drank lots of varieties (mostly caffeine free) for my whole pregnancy and never had any problems. They also help with nausea. My fave was "Pregnancy Tea", I can't remember the brand but if your regular grocery store doesn't carry it you can find it at health food stores like Whole Foods. Someone told me chamomile tea was not good for you when you're pregnant, or not good for baby. But I drank it when I was pregnant, with a little honey it was the best thing for morning sickness. You should definately ask your OB before you drink it, since I have heard you shouldn't. But like I said, I did - and never had any problems. Another good one (and completely safe) is Peppermint. It soothes your tummy, helps you relax and relieves stuffy noses.

Less than 200mg of caffeine a day is okcwhile preggo... I drink alot of herbal tea which has no caffeine... And some black20mg I alsobhave a coffee here and there or coke 35mg.... Just do some research see how much caffeine a glass has or read the box if it's home made and but I'm sure until you research it a glass won't kill you or harm the baby.:: good luck

Non-decaffeinated teas are safe. Don't drink too much green tea (decaf or otherwise), because there's an ingredient in green tea that decreases folic acid absorption. Herbal teas are good, namely ones with mint, or fruit teas.

Here's a short list of which teas are not safe: anise, catnip, chamomile, comfrey, ephedra (called ma huang in traditional Chinese medicine), European mistletoe, hibiscus, horehound, Labrador, lemongrass, licorice root, mugwort, pennyroyal, raspberry leaf, rosemary, sage, sassafras, stinging nettle leaf, vetiver, and yarrow.

doctors used to frown on caffiene from say tea, or soft drinks. but a little caffeine every now and then is ok. for a natural tea, try your local whole foods store, or even just look for one in your local store that has an organic label

You shouldn't drink a lot of tea because of the caffeine...I know it sucks! You'll notice a big difference in the babies activity after you drink some tea...they go nuts!

I have never heard of any down sides to drinking tea (pregnant or otherwise).
As for natural: any green tea is good (or even white), both of which you can find at your local grocery store.

you can drink tea while pregnant. Check the ingredients on herbal teas, some herbs are not good in pregnancy (too many to list, google it) Black tea is lower in caffene than coffee, and the decaf is just as tasty.
