Bell curves - in any population, the high end are geniuses, the low end are, well, low, and the majority in between. Statistically, there must be brilliant chickens.

There are smart chickens and dumb chickens. We had this one that could get out of any pen you put her in and all the others would just stand around the edge of the pen and stare at her like, "Duh, how'd you do dat."

there some little bird brain chickens that are pretty smart! I had a little red hen that would come to me when I called her, but she wasn't a Mozart or Einstein chicken. She was super cool though!
