All of the mints.
I like rosemary which is good with fish, eggs, pork and lamb..wonderful.
Also, jalepenos are easy although they are not herbs.
Basil is good and easy. Cook in stews and soups. Good in salads and on tomatos.
Lemonbalm, dill and quite a few others. Have fun!

Most herbs will do well in your zone. There are many types of mints, which are easy to grow and fun to use in drinks and cooking -- but always grow mint in a container. (Otherwise, it will spread all over in places you don't want it.) Rosemary and oregano are useful for cooking. Basil is tasty, but it is an annual so you would plant it every spring.

There a many herbs you can grow in your garden. Think about what you want them for, and that will help you make your choices.

Spearmint is a hardy plant that is very easy to grow, hard to kill, and pleasant to sniff.

But make sure you keep it in a container, because it can take over a garden very quickly!
