I'm a new drinker of green tea, mostly for it's healthy benefits.
But, like most new drinkers, I'm suffering from pretty bad stomach cramps right now :[
and I wouldn't say I have a low pain threshold.
so um, I'm just wondering if anyone knows anything to settle the pain? ://
I drank the tea hours ago, and the pain has only just come now...

The first question I will ask is this. Where did you get your green tea from? IN the event the pain showed up hours later the probability is that you ate something else after the tea. Sounds like you picked up a parisite or bacteria. Had it been the green tea, it would have happened right away. And it wouldnt have caused pain and sickness other than the body would be in a toxic condition to begin with. Green tea is an anti-oxidant and will pull toxins from the cells to the digestive system so they can be flushed out of the body. If it is ever a concern for you, just drink and 8oz. glass of tepid water to flush the digestive system and to dilute the material in it.

Pure Peppermint or Ginger tea taken hot or cold will calm your upset stomach. You can also try peppermint candies but the mint in candies is usually synthetic. Eating some candied Ginger will help too but it is high in sugar and should only be used infrequently.
